New Site

December 9, 2008

Hey all, sorry for the long delay in posting. I’ve got a new site at

which will feature my online portfolio as well as updates.
For the time being I’m giving this blog a break. Thanks again for checking!

The Shape of Things to Come

February 18, 2008

I’ve been busy working on a project lately, one I’ve wanted to do ever since I was a kid.

A comic book.

For the first time since I started studying art, I have something which will be truly and completely mine. I’ve been doing practice and studies for way too long, and it feels amazing to finally do something which is expressive, and — hopefully — says something.

I’m new at this, and there’s a lot I’m learning along the way by doing it wrong, but I’m completely excited. And I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I am enjoying creating it. When the first issue is done, I plan on making it a big deal. Perhaps dancing monkeys will be employed. Who knows?

P.S. Thanks for the comments, everyone! It means a lot to hear from people whose work you admire as well!

Fun With a Brush Pen

October 18, 2007

Brush Stuff

Bah, I should update or something. I truly love brush pens. Ink — digital or otherwise — is getting to be my favorite medium.

Oh shi-

May 15, 2007

My first non-art post.  Updated my blogroll and added some peeps (as the kids say now) who actually had me on their blogroll.  D’oh!  Needless to say, they’re tremendously talented and hardworking; check their stuff out to see how things should be done. 😀

Here’s a glimpse of some stuff I’ve been working on. This is a story I’ve been developing for a little while. With luck, I’ll be putting pages up in the next few months as a webcomic. Until then, enjoy! Or not!

Oops! Update time

May 7, 2007

Oddly enough, real life has gotten in the way of my sketchblog. But here’s some things… hopefully the updates will come a little more consistently.

Lara’s Big Adventure

February 22, 2007

Lara Croft.  I don’t usually do fan art, but it seemed like a fun subject.  Also, it gave me a chance to practice using the Hardness hotkeys.    I’m still trying to figure out whether I like the effect or not.

Minor adjustments

February 17, 2007

I can’t believe it too me this long to find out what the Brush Hardness hotkeys in Photoshop Jr.* were.

(*aka Photoshop Elements 2.0)
